The Bioblitz begins at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, August 1 and concludes at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, August 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quoi<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A Bioblitz is a community science event where participants work together to identify and document as many living species as possible within a specific area and timeframe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over three days, residents and visitors will use the iNaturalist app to record observations of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • The history of the region  (en fran\u00e7ais seulement)  July 24th <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
    • Plants<\/li>
    • Birds<\/li>
    • Insects<\/li>
    • Mammals<\/li>
    • Amphibians<\/li>
    • Fungi<\/li>
    • Aquatic life<\/li>
    • Other wild organisms<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Together, we\u2019ll create a living inventory of McGregor Lake\u2019s biodiversity and contribute valuable information that can help us better understand, appreciate, and protect the environment we all share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How to Participate<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      Simply download the iNaturalist app, create an account, join the Bioblitz project, and start making observations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      What Can Be Observed?<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      Participants are encouraged to document any wild, naturally occurring species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Please observe wildlife responsibly and avoid disturbing animals or damaging habitats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          What Happens After the Event?<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

          Volunteer biologists will help review and validate observations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          A summary report highlighting species identified during the Bioblitz will be prepared and shared with participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
